Shipping Policy
1. Delivery & Fulfillment Strategy
For a local installation business, "shipping" often means your team transporting equipment to the site. If you also sell kits online, you’ll need a hybrid approach.
- Shipping Timelines: Specify a lead time for procurement (e.g., 2–4 business days) and a separate timeline for transit.
- Shipping Costs: * Local Installs: Usually included in the labor/installation quote.
- E-commerce/Kits: Use a flat rate or free shipping for orders over a certain amount (e.g., ₹5,000).
- Partial Shipments: State that for large projects (like an 8-channel setup), items like cables and monitors may arrive separately from the cameras.
2. Inspection & Damaged Goods
CCTV components—especially Hard Drives and camera lenses—are sensitive. Your policy should shift the responsibility of inspection to the client upon arrival.
- "Dead on Arrival" (DOA): Offer a strict 24–48 hour window for the client to report physical damage or missing items from the box.
- Unboxing Video: Encourage (or require) customers to film an unboxing video for online orders to simplify insurance claims for damaged sensors or glass.
